Exploring Sound in Every Dimension
From Analog Warmth to Digital Precision
In my studio, sound is both playground and laboratory. I explore textures with my Moog Grandmother, Subharmonicon, and DFAM, weaving analog warmth into each beat, while Nord Drum 3P and Roland VDrums give me control over synthetic percussion. Acoustic drum libraries — SD3, EZdrummer, Addictive Drums — sit alongside tightly programmed snares, kicks, and cymbals, creating a conversation between depth and clarity, organic and mechanical.
Analog gear is my dimension; it gives richness, color, and movement. Digital tools offer precision and speed, the ability to sculpt every nuance with intent. I blend both worlds, layering loops with live variations, knowing that repetition alone is lifeless — it’s the subtle imperfections, the unexpected accents, that give a loop soul.
Mixing is more than balancing levels; it’s shaping emotion. SSL GComp, Kush EQ, Moog EQPE, and Manley ELOP help me carve space, warmth, and depth, while UAD and FabFilter plugins refine the colors. Every sound, every pulse, is chosen not just for technique, but to make the listener feel — because, for me, music lives in the intersection of precision and passion.
